We, InterNations Eindhoven are pleased to support a Unicef project to protect the rights of children in Cambodia and help them to grow up in a safe and stable family environment. Unicef, which is world’s leading international organisation in providing humanitarian assistance to children in developing countries, is working to identify alternatives to residential care which is proven to harm a child's social, physical, intellectual and emotional development and has long-term impacts in their adult life. Moreover, residential care has been shown to place children at increased risk of physical and sexual abuse. What is being done? - Building a sustainable child protection system - Strengthening monitoring and enforcement of national policies - Social protection for the poor - Exploring new alternatives - Communication and advocacy Feel free to support our cause and remember that a small contribution from many people can have a positive impact on Cambodian children's life. More info about the project: Fact sheet - Residential care Cambodia (PDF) Please kindly be reminded that we will support this case until the end of December 2017. Together we can make a difference. Your InterNations Ambassadors, Marco Iachello, Elsa Kamberi and Shiv Anand.
